Overview: The purpose of this program is to support tax-exempt nonprofit grassroots groups working on environmental health and justice issues by building leadership, increasing capacity, and/or providing training and education. The program is designed to reach people from low-wealth communities and communities of color who are impacted by environmental harms. Grassroots groups working with communities of color, low-wealth, or rural or urban populations are encouraged to apply.
Priority will be given to community-based organizations aiming to have local, state, and regional impact as the core of the health and environmental justice movement.
Eligible costs include personnel costs, operations costs, and event costs.
